Fondation de la Visite

Fondation de la Visite
Since 1988, the Fondation de la Visite has been supporting Montreal families in their daily challenges through workers called “parent-visitors”. Through home visits, material assistance for infants, respite, accompaniment to neighborhood resources, pairings and group activities, these mother-visitors and father-visitors ensure the well-being of families in a situation of vulnerability with newborn.

Visiting Mothers and Fathers offer to these families their experience and availability, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week answering to emergency. They provide families with free house calls and relief and informing the families about institutional and local support.

Visiting Mothers and Fathers are involved in grouping activities, facilitating the implementation and self-help support groups between families.
Their services are active in six neighbourhoods of Montreal: Montréal-Nord, Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Côte Saint-Luc / Hampstead, Bordeaux-Cartierville, Lachine / St-Pierre / Dorval.
