Atelier Apart

Atelier Apart
Community Arts & Culture Space

Coordinated by the NDG Community Council’s Arts & Culture Table

Atelier Apart is a community arts and culture space open to everyone in the NDG community and beyond. Located in an apartment at 6462 Sherbrooke St. West and formerly known as the Sherbrooke Forest Art Hive, Atelier Apart will host activities and events such as art hives, artist residencies, free art workshops, artist presentations, and exhibitions.

We are open to all forms of community collaboration and would love to hear from you about hosting arts and culture events in the space or about any thoughts or ideas you may have. Atelier Apart is currently only open during planned programming but our goal is to have regular open hours in the months to come.

Upcoming events

February 17th: Launch and Community Visioning

We will be having a launch and community vision meeting on February 17th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 6462 Sherbrooke West #2 to find out which activities you would like to see from us in 2023. There will be snacks, drinks, music, and the first art hive of 2023!

Artist Residency

Atelier Apart’s artist residency, launched in 2022, aims to promote professional art opportunities for NDG-based artists and to increase the local community’s access to fine arts. Artists in residence spend three months using Atelier Apart as a creation studio and exhibit their final projects in a local exhibition space. During their residencies, artists host open studios and lead free workshops for NDG residents, sharing their skills with the community.

The Atelier Apart artist residency program is a project of the NDG Arts & Culture Table supported by Maison de la culture NDG and Notre-Dame-des-Arts.

2022-2023 Artists in Residence

Caroline Ariane Bergeron
