Prevention CDN/NDG is a community organization established in 1988 in the Côte-des-Neiges and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough. The main objective of the organization is to improve the quality of life of residents by offering them resources and tips on crime prevention, home security, graffiti, recycling and other environmental issues in the neighbourhood.
The organization manages many programs such as the Éco-quartier NDG, Tandem CDN/NDG, “Hip Hop You Don’t Stop” Urban Arts Festival, graffiti removal and mural creation, the hypersexualization program, and outreach workers for youth and seniors in difficulty.

Éco-quartier NDG:
The Éco-quartier NDG works to sensitize NDG residents on how to reduce their environmental impact and improve the quality of life of their neighbourhood. The program offers services and environmental activities in NDG within 4 primary mandates: the 3Rs, Cleanliness, Beautification and Nature in the City.

Genders & Equality
The Genders & Equality program aims to educate local youth, girls and boys, about subjects such as exploitation and sexual violences and issues related to gender stereotypes and equality. This project has been made possible by the joint efforts of Prevention CDN-NDG and the Table de concertation jeunesse Côte-des-Neiges.
Fielding – Walkley
Since 2010, Prévention CDN-NDG has played an active role in the Fielding-Walkley sector. We have been a member of the Provisional Board of Directors of the Walkley Centre, run some specific programs out of the centre, acted as fiduciary for a Centre-based food security project and, through funding from Centraide, are fiduciary of the sector’s community mobilization agent.
