WESTHAVEN SECTOR
Westhaven is one of the four priority sectors in NDG. The neighborhood is bounded by Saint-Jacques and Sherbrooke and Saint-Jacques on the north and the south respectively and West Broadway and Connaught on the east and west. The Council works in partnership with key stakeholders and actors within the community including residents, volunteers, and organisations in order to give voice to their concerns and form a common vision for Westhaven.

Mesure 17
In 2018, the Mesure 17 program, funded by CIUSSS Central West, provided the opportunity for Westhaven neighbourhood to move towards an environment that enables a healthier and more active lifestyle for its residents. NDG Community Council is proud to have accompanied its partners and residents in this program to conduct an in-depth study of the neighbourhood's built environment. For more information on the study's final report and recommendations, please click the link below (Westhaven vision 2020 report).
In 2020, Westhaven was granted additional funds by Mesure 17 to concretize some of the recommendations that were highlighted in the in-depth study of the neighbourhood. A project that aims to reduce heat islands in the neighbourhood is taking place in front of the Westhaven community centre. You can watch the video created about heat island in Westhaven and the illustrations for the area in front of Westhaven community centre below. (link to the video and the illustrations).
